Hello internet land! I've decided that my new hobby is movies, tv, film. I've spent a great deal of my life enjoying these things anyway, so why not produce something, some kind of thoughts on what I've been doing?
So Heat was a pretty good movie. The top review on imdb is spot-on, and I couldn't really agree more. The only thing I found a little weak in the movie, was the relationship between Vincent and Justine (the cop and his wife). A few things are touched upon, but it seems implausible that someone would marry a person at as late a date as the 90's, without knowing what his career entailed. Even for older characters at that time, people over the last few generations have not been known for throwing themselves into marriages of lust and whim, and certainly not SECOND marriages of lust and whim. I know there are exceptions, but for the savvy displayed by the two characters, this wouldn't make sense.
All other things considered, it's a great movie. I didn't watch it all in one sitting- I stopped around the mid point to make dinner- so I don't know if the three hour time span really tries the patience when one sits to watch it all at once. Still, I never felt bored, and don't think it would be a problem.
Would I recommend this? Yes.
